Fall is in the Air!

While I appreciate traditional fall colors when I see them in stores or at friends’ homes, I’ve never been able to recreate that same look in my own space.

In the past, I rarely decorated for fall, but I noticed a trend of neutral decor making an appearance in stores a few years ago.

With an influx of creamy white and beige pumpkins available, I was excited to bring some home. It may seem odd for someone who loves colors, but I prefer this neutral fall theme as it complements the vibrant colors in my home.

Decorating a Dining Room for Fall
I typically decorate just two areas for fall: the dining room and the living room. I go all out for Christmas, but for the other seasons, I prefer to keep it simple. Let’s begin with my dining room!

When I walked into TJ Maxx and spotted aqua pumpkins, I was thrilled! Seriously, aqua pumpkins!

These pumpkins were made for my home! 😉 I picked up a couple along with a table runner, and that was all I needed!

For a simple tablescape, I used a large galvanized tray from Cracker Barrel, decorating with some accent pieces in greenish aqua and lovely pumpkins on either side.

If you know me at all, you understand my love for owls, which always find their way into my home decor! During fall, they truly come out to shine!

I utilized the aqua pumpkins in my dining room as they blend seamlessly with the greenery. They also beautifully complement the wall color, which is Sherwin Williams Hazel.

I also picked up some mini pumpkins from the Target Dollar Spot and displayed them in my Pioneer Woman mini cake stand, which adds a delightful touch!

The table setting looks simple yet elegant, achieved on a budget by only purchasing a few items and incorporating decor from last year.

On my buffet, I always start with my tiered tray, the most versatile decor piece I own. I love changing it for every season and holiday! It’s a budget-friendly way to refresh the decor!
Decorate Your Space!
Here is a list of items you can use to decorate your space.
Featured Items
Here is a list of the products featured in this post or products similar to those featured in this post:
- Fall Scented Soaps and Candles: Mrs. Meyer’s offers a fabulous Apple Cider fall scent in their soaps, candles, and multi-surface cleaner. This sweet yet spicy seasonal scent will keep your home smelling delightful throughout fall.
- Mini Cake Stand: Used as a centerpiece on my dining room table this fall.
I kept the decor neutral and organic, highlighting a touch of greenish aqua. Isn’t that cotton ball adorable?! Changing up the tray every few months is something I really enjoy.

This wooden tray features just a few items: an owl, a lovely wooden sign, and some wooden beads! I also added some lamb’s ears (a year-round favorite!) in a beautiful white vase, and it was done!

My mirrors, which lean against the wall, remain year-round and make the buffet appear fuller while matching any decor I select for the dining room.

I love how the pumpkin wreath looks when placed against the mirrors.

On each side of the tray, I placed a few more decorative pieces along with greenery to provide fullness, enhanced with plenty of pumpkin decor! As some of my blogger friends say, “Give me ALL the pumpkins!”

Decorating a Living Room for Fall
Shifting our focus to the living room! Here, I definitely opted for a neutral palette. I know, uncharacteristic of me, but I really adore the result!
These charming owls were a thoughtful gift from my late mother-in-law, who loved thrifting. She discovered them during one of her shopping sessions.

I love creating layered decor on my mantel by propping various items in a harmonious assembly. This year, I added a striking wooden owl that I absolutely adore!

The square wreath beside it is one of my favorite seasonal decorations! I found it a couple of years ago and had never seen a square wreath before. It caught my heart immediately! The small wooden owls in front were also a sweet gift from a friend.

I am quite pleased with how the mantel looks, featuring creams, browns, and a few silver accents.
Here’s a broader view, showcasing how the shelves on either side are also dressed for fall, filled with pumpkins, as well as a cute squirrel on the left to spice things up!

On my coffee table, I kept it very minimal with just an arrangement of hydrangeas and pumpkins. For the couches, I added in some cream-colored throw pillows and a soft blanket, completing the look!
Decorating a Kitchen for Fall
The last area in my home with a hint of fall is next to my kitchen sink. I’m loving the limited-edition Mrs. Meyer’s soaps, candles, and multi-surface cleaner. They smell divine! There’s nothing that captures fall quite like Apple Cider!
The bottles are so beautifully designed that I display them on a lovely tray my friend made for my birthday! A charming wooden sign with copper touches and a beautiful kitchen towel featuring a copper pumpkin ties it all together.
That wraps up my Fall Home Tour! I sincerely hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed creating it.
