Easy Edible Fairy Garden Dessert Recipe

Fairy garden season is upon us. I bet you didn’t realize how serious people take this season, did you? Well, I am here to turn things up a notch with this simple and edible fairy garden dessert recipe. Yep. You can make an edible fairy garden, which is all you ever wanted in life, right? Let’s not waste any time, let’s get started.

Ingredients:

Most of these items can be found at your local grocer, craft store, candy supply store, or even on Amazon. Hobby Lobby and Michael’s also carry cake decorating items, making them excellent places to shop! Feel free to use any items that fit the theme of your fairy garden.

Directions:

  1. Start by placing a thick layer of pudding inside the pie plate or cake plate. Smooth it out.
  2. Crush the chocolate wafers or cookies until they resemble dirt. Layer this “dirt” on top of the chocolate pudding.
  3. Add your grass and water by using the candy shreds. Just sprinkle them in the desired areas for grass and water.
  4. Add some candy rocks to create a border in your edible fairy garden.
  5. Now comes the fun part of adding the candy flowers and plants. Arrange them in any order you wish to create a border, a walkway, or whatever you desire.

We finished our edible fairy garden with a little fairy house we found at Dollar Tree. Although I usually recommend against using non-edible garnishes on desserts, this garnish is large enough to avoid any choking hazards. Keep your fairy garden in a cool place until you are ready to eat, to prevent the pieces from melting and making a mess.
